Beanie Dana History - who we are and what we do.
When Martina was young she loved to wear beanies and hats, her sister Sabina never understood why she
needed 30 different styles and colours, but there never seemed to be enough.
When she first went to Bali 2004 she started looking out again to get some new ideas and then in 2005 decided to start making the
very first of the Beanie Dana range.
This lead onto Martina becoming good friends with Bali surf camp owners. This summer saw the first little summer collection.
It was at this time that Martina meet Rian. This blossoming love affair inspired Martina to make more than just a few beanies for friends
she wanted to be able to pay for a flight for Rian's first trip to Austria.
Over the coming 6 months after some hard work the dream became true - live your dreams and keep on working on it......all we can say is THANK YOU.

Why dana ??
Dana means in Balinese happy to give = and we think that suits just perfect....it is also Rian's family name.
So we knew this is the name for our beanies it supports the thought of why we started to make the beanies and just fits so perfect.

We are working with a little factory in Bali and every single beanie is 100% handmade. That makes every single beanie very special & unique.
Not one of our Beanies every look exactly the same. Just like us, we all have our own style.
Slighty different Beanies just show the unique quality of a handmade product.
It is very important to Beanie Dana that all people involved in our project are treated fairly. This is a community project and every Beanie Dana beanie
helps a whole range of people every day.
so after all the work and many hours and many different samples we achieved the final result of the quality product we wanted. Beanies of the very
best quality that are cosy, warm, trendy and very different from anything else.
Not only that but they are made with love, hope, dreams and a smile! We hope they bring you the same good feelings.
